Teacher Amanda Robinson told us:

It took place on Tuesday 27th of September and Nursery up to Year 3 took part.

We had specialist trainer Rob Bounds from Derbyshire’s Travel Smart Team teach us scooter safety and PC Aldred also helped us and supplied all the children with reflective safety bands and stickers.

As part of our work with making the children healthier and travelling safer we are also going to be awarded our Modeshift STARS bronze award.

Modeshift STARS is the national schools awards scheme that has been established to recognise schools that have demonstrated excellence in supporting cycling, walking and other forms of sustainable travel.
The scheme encourages schools across the country to join in a major effort to increase levels of sustainable and active travel in order to improve the health and well-being of children and young people.
