The Local Police Safer Neighbourhood Teams [SNT] are being restructured. Some staff have moved to other departments within the Service, while some familiar faces remain. The Public Police Panels which have operated for many, many years at regular intervals to provide residents the chance to meet up with the Police at Open Public Forums, have been discontinued with the advent of different ways to communicate with the Police, including Twitter, email, Dial 101 and 999 services.
The Police Team officers will still patrol our locality but their human resources are being utilised differently between the numerous Erewash areas on a system that considers Risk and Threat to determine where and what resources a call for service requires, almost on a reactive model.
