Erewash residents are being urged to ensure they are registered to vote as preparations continue for the Police and Crime Commissioner election for Derbyshire on Thursday 5 May.

There are three deadline dates for residents ahead of the PCC election:
• Anyone who is not registered to vote must do so by Monday 18 April.
• Residents wanting to vote by post must apply by 5pm on Tuesday 19 April.
• For residents who want someone to vote on their behalf, a proxy vote can be applied for before 5pm on Tuesday 26 April.

Residents who know they still need to register to vote can do so quickly and easily online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote Residents who want to check that they are registered to vote in Erewash can fill in a form online that will be responded to within one working day by the council’s elections team. Visit www.erewash.gov.uk and click on the ‘Your Council’ tab and follow the ‘elections’ link.
