Ilkeston FC’s team bus and supporters bus had stones thrown at them by a group of young Rushall Olympic fans after tonight’s game, we are being told.

The match ended in a 2-2 draw after IIkeston had pulled level with two late goals.

During the game Ilkeston’s new young goalkeeper Jamie Hannis had been subjected to a ‘hard time’ by a group of about 20 young Rushall fans behind his goal, according to our informant.

Ilkeston FC officials had tweeted a thank you to the Walsall club for their hospitality, but then came the stone throwing incidents.

On a very cold night, the attendance at the game was 217, around 40 coming from Ilkeston.
