Erewash residents who have lost loved ones are being invited to take part in the Christmas Service of Remembrance being held at Bramcote Crematorium on Sunday 6 December at 2pm.

The Crematorium is jointly run by Erewash and Broxtowe borough councils and the special service is held every year to give bereaved families the opportunity to remember loved ones in the lead up to the festive season.

Reverend Jez Prance will lead this year’s Service of Remembrance, which will be held in the Serenity Chapel and will last around one hour.

The names of everyone being remembered will be read out during the service and those attending can light a candle in remembrance of their loved ones.

Councillor Chris Corbett, the Leader of Erewash Borough Council, said:

“We know this service will provide comfort as people remember their loved ones at this time of year. This annual remembrance is always well attended and I know this year will be no different so I would advise people to arrive early to ensure a seat within the chapel.”

Seasonal refreshments will be available after the service.

Bramcote Crematorium is on Coventry Lane, Bramcote. For more information call 0115 917 3849 or email bramcotecrem@broxtowe.gov.uk
