Many members and supporters attended the Friends of Park Cemetery Open Day on 26th September to see the launch of the Friends’ new Cemetery Guide.

This booklet has been researched and written by Friends Secretary Beverley Kilby and includes biographies of some of the interesting people buried in the cemetery as well as sections on the history of the site and on the symbolism found in monuments and on gravestones.

Friends Chairman David Hudson thanked Beverley for her efforts in preparing this first publication and many copies were sold at the event, at which members also provided hot drinks and home made cakes and took visitors on an hour long tour of the cemetery.
