The popular Bold as Brass programme draws to a close this month when Erewash Museum hosts the Matlock Band for a Bank Holiday Monday concert in its gardens.

Brass music fans should take along chairs for the performance, which starts at 2pm on Monday 31 August. Refreshments will be available in the Lally Gallery courtesy of the Friends of Erewash Museum.

In the event of bad weather, the concert will be held in nearby St Mary’s Church in Ilkeston Market Place.

Councillor Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s Lead Member for Culture and Leisure, says:
“What better way to spend a Bank Holiday afternoon than with family and friends while listening to popular brass tunes at our award winning Museum. Here’s hoping the weather holds out!”

Anyone wanting more information can call in to the Museum or telephone 0115 907 1141 for more information. Residents can also check out the Facebook page – www.facebook.com/erewashmuseum

Erewash Museum is just off the High Street in Ilkeston town centre, a short walk from the Market Place. Admission is free and it is open Monday to Saturday during school holidays between 10am-4pm.
